Vienna Science Festival

Eva Hallama, Katrin Abromeit (2022) curated an exhibition booth at the Vienna Science Festival (Forschungsfest) at the Vienna City Hall (Rathaus)
September 9-11, 2022

The visitors were invited to record there own audio letters on a magnetic disc. The next person coud hear and overwrite the disc with a new message.

They could listen to audio letters on a tape recorder and to gramophone recordings and read the transcripts of the audio letters.

Finally, a microscope enabled the visitors to get a good look at the grooves of direct cut discs and at signs of degradation.
